Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the Rush mobile app (“Rush”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information. Rush is operated by Metronome Labs (operator: Venkata Satya Anurag Unnava, Sweden). By using Rush you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only what Rush needs to function:
- Account information — your name, email address, profile photo, and chosen username, provided when you sign in with Apple, Google, or email. If you use Sign in with Apple’s “Hide My Email,” we receive only Apple’s private relay address.
- Workout & fitness data — your workout sessions (start/stop times, duration), points earned, streaks, and tiers.
- Health data — with your permission, we read your daily step count from Apple Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android) to display your step progress. See Section 4.
- Location data — precise location, collected only while you have an active workout in progress, to verify gym attendance and record your route. Rush does not track your location in the background outside of an active workout. See Section 5.
- Progress photos — if you add progress photos, they are stored privately for your account only and are never shown to other users.
- Purchases & shipping — when you order physical products, we collect your shipping address and order details. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we never receive or store your full card number.
- Social (Crew) — if you use Crew, your username, crew membership, and activity (such as joining a crew) are visible to members of your crew.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to operate and improve Rush: to create and secure your account, verify and record workouts, award points and rewards, fulfil product orders, power social features, and respond to your support requests.
3. Consent
We process your data to provide the service you request and with your consent, which you grant through the app’s permission prompts (location, health, photos, notifications). You can withdraw consent at any time in your device settings.
4. Health Data
Health data (step counts) accessed through Apple Health or Health Connect is used solely to display your fitness progress inside Rush. We never use health data for advertising or marketing, never sell it, never share it with third parties for their own purposes, and never store it in iCloud. Our handling of health data complies with Apple HealthKit and Google Health Connect requirements.
5. Location Data
Location is used only to verify that a workout takes place at a gym and to record your workout route, and only while a workout is active. On iOS this uses “While Using the App” permission; on Android a foreground service with a visible notification runs during the workout and stops when you end it. We do not sell or share your location, and we do not collect location when you are not actively working out.
6. Service Providers
We share data only with providers that help us operate Rush, under their respective terms:
- Google Firebase — authentication, database, file storage, and backend functions.
- Stripe — payment processing for product orders.
- Apple & Google — sign-in and health-data platforms.
- Notion — internal order and feedback management.
- Google Sheets — product catalog.
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers listed above, or where required by law.
8. Data Retention & Account Deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account in the app, or by emailing customersupport@metronomelabs.app. Deleting your account removes your profile, workouts, progress photos, points, and username. Order records are retained in anonymized form (with personal details removed) as required for accounting, tax, and dispute-resolution purposes.
9. Your Rights (GDPR)
Metronome Labs (operator: Venkata Satya Anurag Unnava, Sweden) is the data controller for your personal data. If you are located in the EU/EEA, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. To exercise these rights, contact us at customersupport@metronomelabs.app. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority — in Sweden, the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY, Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten).
10. Children
Rush is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.
11. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
